Serbian national airline — Air Serbia — has soared through over 310,000 successful flights, carrying more than 25 million passengers on its wings in the past decade. After ten years of successful business, they wanted to modernize their Website and implement additional functionalities to enhance user experience and streamline processes.
Factory handled the technical development of the Website, while Kroon agency led the redesign. Along with other functionalities, we integrated Sabre and Sita systems and leveraged Pimcore to implement a user-friendly CMS — empowering them with efficient content management. NAVIGATING A MULTILINGUAL MAZE
With 36 points of sale scattered across 11 different languages, Air Serbia needed a solution to maintain consistent information across this multilingual maze. They were also aware of the importance of fresh and engaging content, so they required a platform for dynamic content updates and engaging features like blogs and news.
Last but not least, integrating a user-friendly booking system directly into the Website was the company's imperative for streamlining the travel process and boosting conversions.

Content Bundle, developed by Factory for Pimcore, is a game-changer in content and layout management. It offers seamless document editing, layout customization, and hassle-free blog and news integration, ensuring total efficiency and straightforward use. Developed with objects and areabricks for Dynamic Experience Pages (DXPs), it's the go-to solution for projects needing dynamic content pages.
While developers handle the setup, users with Pimcore admin credentials, in this case - Air Serbia, can effortlessly shape their online space. With detailed use cases tailored to each project, it's the ultimate fix for any Pimcore solution, making content management a breeze for all.
SABRE AND SITA SYSTEMS INTEGRATION
We leveraged Sabre to streamline the flight booking experience for Air Serbia's customers. They can easily search for flights on the Air Serbia website, selecting their desired destination and travel dates. Once they've found the perfect itinerary, the Website redirects them to Sabre's secure booking engine to finalize the reservation. This integration ensures real-time pricing and availability throughout the booking journey, giving customers assurance and flexibility.
Sita integration enables efficient passenger management by streamlining check-in processes, managing flight changes, and providing passenger communication tools.
The integration of a booking system further elevates the user journey, streamlining the reservation process and creating a more efficient and enjoyable experience. Users can seamlessly navigate through the website, explore diverse content, and effortlessly book their travel adventures with confidence.
EVERYMUNDO INTEGRATION FOR LOCATION-BASED PROMOTIONS
We utilized EveryMundo's "airModule" to enable dynamic and conversion-oriented content on Air Serbia's website. In this case, we leveraged it for the "Top Offers Carousel" to showcase targeted promotions.
The EveryMundo script leverages URLs to pinpoint the user's location and displays relevant promotions accordingly. For instance, a Russian-language website user might see promotions for flights to Moscow, while a German user might encounter promotions for flights to Berlin. Air Serbia benefits from EveryMundo's pre-configured promotions within the carousel, eliminating the need for manual configuration on their end.
PLUSGRADE INTEGRATION FOR FLIGHT UPGRADE BIDS FEATURE
By integrating Plusgrade, we enabled a flight upgrade bids feature that allows economy class passengers to submit upgrade bids for a chance to fly in Business Class. Passengers can submit bids through the Air Serbia website using their reservation code and last name, and the highest offer will likely win the upgrade.
