Insights from Pimcore Community Dev Days 2025: Factory on Stage

In mid-November, the first-ever Pimcore Community Dev Days took place in Frankfurt, bringing together professionals from across the Pimcore ecosystem. This one-day event was packed with talks covering everything from AI and data infrastructure to platform development and clean coding practices.

Among the speakers were:

  • Stefan Priebsch, who highlighted how clean code improves long-term software quality
  • Alexander M. Turek, with a technical deep dive into Symfony’s Dependency Injection component
  • Dietmar Rietsch, Pimcore’s founder, who shared his vision for Agentic PXM and the role of AI in future-ready product experience management

Factory was proud to be part of the speaker lineup. Our Tech Lead, Marko Čučković, delivered a session titled: “Pimcore & AI: New Possibilities with RAG and MCP.”

His talk explored how companies can apply Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and the emerging MCP standard to make AI more useful, precise, and production-ready within Pimcore. He also covered related topics like integrating vector databases, avoiding vendor lock-in, and making the most of Pimcore Copilot for everyday use. You can watch the full recording of Marko’s session here or explore the topic further in his blog post on RAG and AI in data management.

Beyond the lectures, the event was a great opportunity to connect with others in the community, share experiences, and take a closer look at the future of Pimcore development.

Thanks to Jens Krumm (Pluswerk) and Dominik Pfaffenbauer (CoreShop) for organizing and hosting a well-rounded and insightful event. We are looking forward to what’s next! And while words can tell part of the story, we brought back a few photos from Frankfurt to capture the atmosphere. Take a look.
