Show Public URL for documents in backend
What was the issue?
Info popup for documents in Pimcore administration didn’t have a field that displays the public URL/pretty URL of the document.
How did you solve it?
The solution was to simply add another field to the info popup which displays the pretty URL of the document if it exists, and if doesn’t, the public URL of the document is displayed in the field.
Why is this fix important?
It is important because you can quickly retrieve the URL of the document with just one click, which was impossible before.
How does it feel to contribute to a platform such as Pimcore?
The feeling of contributing to a big platform like Pimcore is great, especially because it was my first open-source contribution ever.
I consider Pimcore’s direction of development to be great, it is becoming more and more powerful with every new feature.
How long have you been working with Pimcore and what's its best forte?
I’m a frontend developer with around half a year of experience with frontend development and Pimcore. My favorite thing about Pimcore is that it’s an open-source platform and everyone can contribute to it and help make it better.
